Amarillo is well broke, responsive to leg and rein cues, and comfortable in a variety of settings. He neck reins well, has a good stop and rate, and stays rideable when asked to move up in speed. He is level-headed and willing without being dull, with enough athletic ability and speed to make a performance prospect while remaining enjoyable to ride at a slower pace. He trail rides quietly both leading and following and is comfortable going in and out of the arena. He handles new environments well and stays focused when pressure is applied.
