At 9 years old and standing right at 16 hands, Avatar is genuinely broke. He rides collected, carries himself beautifully and has a soft, educated feel. He has been ridden both Western and English, making him an incredibly versatile gelding with plenty of ability. Above all, Avatar is gentle, safe and trustworthy for any level rider. This horse’s kindness goes above and beyond, and his willing, patient nature is truly one of the things that makes him so special. In the arena, Avatar walks, trots and lopes nicely, picks up his leads, stops, backs and rides collected. He is comfortable to ride and has the training to make him fun for someone who appreciates a well-educated horse. And don’t let that Friesian look fool you—Avatar knows his way around a ranch. He has been used around cattle, gathered and sorted, and he genuinely enjoys having a job to do. He’ll step into a group of cattle and help you move them where they need to go. He has also been used for everyday ranch work, opening gates and covering country. Out on the trail, Avatar is confident and willing. He rides out alone or in a group and is comfortable leading, following or riding in the middle of the pack. He doesn’t need another horse beside him to go down the trail and is just as content bringing up the rear when that’s where you want him. He’ll cross water, travel through rocks and brush, step over logs and handle different terrain. Tarps, flags
