She is the right size for easy on and easy off! Stands still to mount. Very gentle, well trained and handy with a great work ethic. She is one that you can turn on and off like a light switch. Dot is quiet minded and fearless. She always strives to give you whatever it is you are asking of her. In the arena Dot will have a good one hand, neck rein, collects up well and moves out with ease. Takes her leads, does great rollbacks and will lope out of her tracks when asked. Good stop, back soft and side passes with ease to work the gates. She is naturally athletic, agile and forward moving yet is quiet minded and doesn’t get hot or bothered. She will turn it up if asked and then drops right down to a settled frame of mind when you are done working. Dot is outstanding to ride out anywhere. From busy urban neighborhood streets to rugged Mountain trails, she is solid, solid, solid! Dot has a brave and bold disposition and handles everything that we have encountered or exposed her to like it’s just another day at the office. In the neighborhood, she is unfazed and unimpressed with all that we have encountered. On the trails, she will happily lead, follow, ride in the middle of a group or out on her own. She navigates, steep rocky terrain like the pro that she is. Crosses the river, Trail bridge, deadfall, and all the Trail obstacles without hesitation. Dot would make an outstanding Sorting Horse, an amateur cutting horse, and would equally excel at Gymkhana, barrel racing, rodeo queen, or in Ranch Trail competitions or just ride her down the trails. It’s all the same to her. She hops in and out of the trailer and gets along with the other horses. She has also raised a few foals and is an outstanding mother.
