Horse (M), Quarter Horse

Briar is a very handsome 7-year-old, 13.3 hand bay Quarter pony gelding with 4 matched stockings and a blaze face. He has outstanding confirmation is stocky built with good thick bone and feet. Briar is well trained and is very gentle. In the arena, he will hold collection when asked and will neck rein or direct rein. He’s smooth traveling and has a comfortable easy to sit jog. Lopes out on cue and is equally smooth traveling at the lope. Stops and backs up with ease and will side pass easily to open and close the gates. He has recently been started over some smaller jumps and has taken to it like a fish to water. Briar is an outstanding trail horse and is also very solid riding around our busy neighborhood streets. In the urban environment, he is confident and unconcerned about the fast-passing vehicles as well as the neighborhood dogs that run up at us barking. He’s equally good riding past the farm animals and everything else we ride past. On the Trail briar is surefooted and confident. He will happily lead, ride drag, or in any position of a group of riders and is equally content to be rode out alone. Cross the river, creeks, deadfall, the trail bridge, and other trail obstacles. He is one that you will feel safe on when riding in steep Rocky terrain. He knows where his feet are and is very coordinated and trustworthy in rough terrain. He handles the wildlife and deer bouncing past us without any fuss. Briar is extremely good natured and is an absolute pleasure to ride and work with. He has no bad habits or vices of any kind. Good to tie, tack, bathe, shoe, load and haul. He gets along great turned out with other horses and is a get along kind of guy. He is equally content and a smaller pen or box stall. This is a super cool little horse/ big pony that is plenty thick and strong enough to carry adult riders that want an easy on and off kind of mount. Great step up horse for the youth. Briar is 100% sound, safe and sane and I truly cannot think of a thing about h
